Histogram for iPhone Video Exposure

Histograms summarize how many pixels fall into each brightness level — essential for judging overall exposure without guessing from a small screen. CinePro shows a live luminance histogram next to the waveform scope.

256-bin luminance histogram

The scope updates every 0.2 seconds from the live camera feed. Tall bars on the left mean more shadows; bars on the right mean more highlights. Watch for spikes at the edges — that often signals clipping.

Part of the monitor toolkit

Enable histogram from the same monitor tools panel as waveform, zebra stripes, false color, and focus peaking. Toggle scopes independently depending on what you need on set.
